Dining at Brigidine

Holroyd Howe, a professional and independent catering company, provides the catering for Brigidine School Windsor.

At the core of Holroyd Howe's operating philosophy is the absolute requirement to provide fresh and well prepared food. They sum up their policy as follows:

“Our natural tendency is towards simple food, made with high quality ingredients and prepared with little fuss, just care and attention. Our aim is to create menus which contain interesting new dishes alongside those that prove to be firm favourites, whilst endorsing our healthy and fresh food approach. Our menu is the most important written document we produce and should be nutritious, varied and innovative.”

With Holroyd Howe, we expect our catering services to be vibrant and most importantly, appropriate for all our pupils. Special dietary requirements will be taken into consideration and our Catering Manager will be happy to discuss these with parents personally to ensure that the needs of all children with particular requirements are met. They also employ the services of a Chef Nutritionist to advise on dietary balance and menu construction, with specific marketing initiatives used to encourage healthy eating.

Included in the school fees will be:

Lunches for full time Nursery pupils through to Year 11 and a morning break for Nursery to Year 4. Lunches are optional for Sixth Formers.

What’s on the Menu?

Breakfast: A selection of cereals, fresh cut fruit and yoghurt (all offered with toppings or in pre-prepared pots), toast and preserves, fruit juice, milk, tea and coffee. In addition to this, regular specials will also feature to constantly vary the selection. These will include a tempting hot breakfast choice or occasional treat, such as French toast, toasted bagels, pancakes & bacon or giant banana muffins.

Morning Break: Milk and prepared fresh fruit will be provided as a snack for all pupils from Nursery to Year 4.

Lunch: The daily menu will feature soup with toppings and fresh baked breads, a choice of at least 2 hot main courses with vegetable or salad accompaniments, and a selection of desserts to include healthy fruit salads and homemade yoghurt pots. In addition, lighter snack meals such as jacket potatoes, big bowl salads and deli sandwiches will be available for Sixth Form pupils. Our younger pupils will be served at the table by members of staff.

Tuck Shop: We will ensure that we offer a healthy choice of snacks wherever possible, such as yoghurt pots, dried fruit, crudités, flapjacks or cereal bars, along with milk and fruit juices, even smoothies and shakes. Homemade cakes, muffins or biscuits will feature as a treat. The Tuck Shop will be open for all year groups from Years 5 to 13 at morning break and at 3.30pm for Years 3 to 6 and 4.05pm for Years 7 to 13.
